What is FanDoodle?...

FanDoodle lets Fans represent Artists and earn 20% of downloads or CD/DVD Sales. Since the time the first record came out people have casually marketed music to each other. But typically, only the record companies, itunes and record stores benefit from their marketing activities. When we launched earlier this year, FanDoodle created a patent-pending way to give credit for record (and DVD) sales where credit is due - to the Fan.

Representing Artists is easy. After logging-on, you simply click on the "Represent Artist" link found on an Artist's product page (the page with the mp3 player). We store your selections in our database and give you access to banner and widget code that you can place on your MySpace page, Facebook page, blog, website, other social networking sites or in emails that you send. The idea is to let friends know which Artists you are representing, and as sales are made through your banners and widgets, you earn 20% of sales proceeds. That's how partnerships are supposed to work. Why not get paid for the music marketing you already do? Finally, we pay you through your Paypal account, so please be sure to make sure we have your correct Paypal address using the Account Info menu item.

Artists use FanDoodle as a way to distribute music through many points of sale by people who know and appreciate what they do - their Fans and friends. FanDoodle allows Artists to distribute their CDs as well as other music collections, even tracks from live shows! Artists don't have to wait for CDs to be produced or for iTunes to get around to loading their music. They have full control over their content and full control over when it is available for sale.
